Day Program

We are in the process of changing our approach to day programming. P.I.L.O.T. Services is moving very aggressively in a new direction which involves creating a more robust platform that will bring a wide palate of person-centered community engagement opportunities to the individuals that attend our programs.

Day Habilitation Programs

P.I.L.O.T. has twoday program operations. One in Blackwood-Camden County and the other in Egg Harbor-Atlantic County.

Day Habilitation is a service that provides opportunities for those enrolled to maintain, enhance and acquire the skills and experiences that support the ability to participate in the community. We utilize a person centered approach meaning we seek feedback from those in program on desired activities they would like to participate in and outcomes they wish to achieve. We encourage volunteering in the community as a means to support personal growth and a wide range of other meaningful activities within the facility.

Community Inclusion Services (CIS):

Community Inclusion are non-facility based services. Community Inclusion is provided outside of a participant’s home and assist individuals in educational and recreational activities that are meaningful and support personal growth and are intended to enhance inclusion in the community. These services can be provided in a one to one setting or within a small group not to exceed six individuals.

Community Based Supports (CBS):

Community Based Supports provide direct support and assistance to individuals in or out of the individual’s residence with the goal being to support increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning and inclusion in the community. Community Based Supports are delivered only in a one to one setting. Community Based Support may also include but are not limited to assisting individuals in basic self-care, social skills and activities of daily living.

Neuro Community Care (Wounded Warrior Partnership):

P.I.L.O.T. Services has partnered with Neuro Community Care to provides services to veterans, who while serving our country, have sustained Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD), Head Injuries or other physically disabling conditions. P.I.L.O.T. provides these warriors with community based supports in the person’s home or within the community and are functionally based. This translates to real-life development and improved quality of life.

Residential Services:

P.I.L.O.T. operates and oversees seven Group Homes and four Supervised Apartment/Condo settings. We provide our residential services within Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties. Our residential operations are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Individuals within our homes are supported and encouraged to participate in all facets of living. Individual feedback is obtained for menu creation to activities desired and even television watched. We believe the homes individuals live within are their homes and the staff are guest who support and assist individuals as needed

Staff Training & Development:

All employees at P.I.L.O.T are required to attend training that is mandated by the Department of Human Services to support them in effectively working with those individuals we support. This training certifies all our staff in homes and programs in first aid & CPR, in effective crisis management skills, administration of medications, understanding of abuse-neglect & exploitation, reporting obligations, safe driving and many other topics.

P.I.L.O.T believes this mandated training is not only essential but serves as a foundation for other on going development course work being put in place to support our staff as well as aid in professional growth and development.
